Depart from Delhi at night. Meeting place and time shall be declared soon.
Stop at Hardwar, capture Ganga Aarti at sunrise and eat breakfast. After quickly capturing the beauty of this city and absorbing some fresh air we carry on with our journey to arrive at Govindghat in the late afternoon. Spend some time here, take pictures of the sunset & eat dinner with a local family like a real pahadi. Hit the sack and call it a day.
Rise up early to capture some local life and the sunrise by the Alaknanda river, then come back and treat yourself with a filling breakfast. Without much delay, we will start our trek to Ghangaria. It is an easy level 14 km trek which we plan to do in 5 hours. To prepare for it start doing some regular functional cardio workout. Keep your cameras ready at all times as the trek is full of beautiful landscapes. We arrive in our hotel, relax and enjoy a fresh lunch made with organic vegetables. Enjoy the natural beauty of this place and don't let your cameras rest. In the evening we will leave our rooms to go out and capture sunset. We will come back to the hotel, eat dinner, and go to bed early because we will have to wake up early in the morning.
We wake up by 3am and start our trek to the Valley of Flowers at 4am to watch the glorious sun rising in the valley. We will enter the Valley of Flowers only after 8am, until then we will explore various photography opportunities. Once we enter into the Valley, our guide will help us explore the valley. The rest of the morning and afternoon is free.
We bid adieu to the valley in the evening with a promise to come back soon, while capturing the sunset as we trek back to Ghangaria. We will eat dinner and enjoy a bonfire. Tonight we take advantage of the new moon and try astrophotography if the sky stays clear. We'll let you stretch your legs and enjoy your bedtime.
It's up to you if you want to wake up early and chase another sunrise (which is totally worth it!) or if you want to embrace the bed a little longer. We'll eat breakfast and then start our trek back to Govinndghat. We arrive at Govindghat, eat lunch, explore the village for some time and then start our journey back to Delhi.
First thing on Day 6 is a stop in Hardwar for a quick detour to experience the city and take some street shots. After eating breakfast and spending a few hours here, we'll continue with our journey to Delhi. We will arrive in Delhi at night. We know that you've made some new friends and it'll be hard to say goodbye. We reach home packing some mountains in our hearts and hopefully, leaving behind the mountains that we carried with us!
